The Southeast Produce Council holds an annual meeting and exposition to recognize the vibrant fruits and vegetables industry located in the Southeastern United States. One of the highlights of the meeting is the Annual Gala, where a themed event features live music, personalities look-a-likes, DJ mixes for dancing and the creation of environment with extravagant lighting, props, and exotic automobiles.
The AVmedia team is challenged by the lavish production of the event not only from the larger than life production elements but also the tight time frame allowed for set-up. This year’s Gala featured look-alikes including Elvis, Buddy Holly, Lucy, and Marilyn Monroe, a live six piece band and DJ mix filling the dance floor full of celebrants.
The elaborate production included over 30 lighting instruments, fog machines, and a four screen set up, scattered throughout the ballroom, providing visually stunning elements. The AVmedia team enjoys working this event as it allows us to use all our creativity in plotting the lighting design and live music production.
In addition to the gala production, AVmedia also produces the annual membership luncheon, where Archie Manning was the keynote speaker, as well as providing exhibit floor and meeting AV support.
