J. D. discovered his passion for the A/V industry while working with his theater class throughout high school, along with co-founder (and lifelong friend), Johan Bryan. That passion has led to a 16-year career culminating in the formation of AVmedia. Armed with a vision for a corporate culture that put employees first and made them feel like family, J.D. and Johan founded AVmedia in 2007. J.D.’s experience and fortitude has ensured that AVmedia will be the premier company for technology and customer service.

Entrepreneur, Challenger of the Status Quo & Perfectionist, Johan has worked in the hospitality and live event industry for 19+ years. Beginning his career with Princess Cruises, Johan helped coordinate the Photo & Video operations on 13 ships, empowering 100+ employees to produce $25M in annual revenue. Constantly feeding on greater challenges and more experience, Johan teamed up with JD to build an Audio Visual company that brought together the technology of live events, the service of the cruise & hospitality industries & the creativity of photography and video production.

We strive to deliver a servant leadership approach and recognize it is our people who make your event successful.

Utilizing a team leadership approach and over 70 years of cumulative experience in audiovisual industry services, they guide our family to deliver warm, personal service and unforgettable experiences for our clients

A 20+ year veteran of the hospitality and live event industries, Josh began his professional career in 1993 with Red Lobster Restaurants. In 2007, Josh joined Swank Audio Visuals as Southeast Regional Vice President, overseeing the relationships in the high-profile Florida convention market. Josh joined AVmedia
in March of 2014. After successfully building upon the foundation of AVmedia’s Hotel Services partnerships and developing an industry leading Family Culture, Josh became CEO in the Summer of 2017 to further guide the organization. He holds a B.S. in Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Management from
Virginia Tech.

Dave Allen joined AVmedia, Inc. with over 25 years of A/V and production industry experience. David began his A/V and Corporate Production career in 1992 with supervisory positions for various companies including Marriott, Universal Studios, and Hi-tech Rentals. David spent over 15 years as well in key leadership positions for Swank Audio Visuals. Dave joined AVmedia, Inc. in 2014, where he oversees Operations for our rapidly growing team. He holds a B.S. in Audio Technology with honors from The American University in Washington D.C.

Throughout Joe's 28+ year career, he has developed a broad range of experience in all aspects of audio visual production and sales. In addition to these responsibilities, Joe was instrumental throughout the years in developing sales training & mentorship programs that have had a significant impact on many of our industry’s best sales people.
